Emergency Management DivisionAbout the Division The Emergency Management Division exists in accordance with Florida Statutes and serves as the local emergency management agency for Bradford County. Florida law allows for the Board of County Commissioners to delegate Emergency Management responsibilities to a county constitutional officer. In Bradford County, the Sheriff has been tasked with fulfilling these obligations, thus giving way to the Emergency Management Division. The Bradford County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Management Division is an all-hazards emergency management agency. Following the motto, “One Team, One Mission”, we stand ready with our partners to prepare for, respond to, and recover from any disaster that impacts Bradford County. About the Director Per Florida State Statutes, each county emergency management agency is required to have a director, who must be appointed by the Board of County Commissioners. Effective August 27th, 2020, Captain Bradley G. Witt was appointed as Emergency Management Director by the Bradford County Board of County Commissioners. For more information on Capt.
