CEMP Reviews

Introduction

Pursuant to Florida Administrative Code, certain facilities are required to submit a Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan (CEMP) to their local Emergency Management office for annual review. These facilities include:

Adult Day Care Facilities

Ambulatory Surgical Centers

Assisted Living Facilities

Group Homes

Hospitals

Nursing Homes

Residential Treatment Facilities

The Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) and Agency for Persons with Disabilities(APD) both develop and publish the minimum criteria for the CEMP. To make the approval process more efficient, facilities should submit the ACHA or APD Planning Criteria paperwork with their CEMP (see links above). Please use the document as a cross-reference to the plan by listing the page number and paragraph where the criteria can be found. This will ensure accurate review of the plan.
