Fingerprinting

The Sheriff’s Office provides fingerprinting for a variety of non-criminal reasons: Employment, volunteer work, licensing, foster care, child care, concealed weapons permits, etc. Fingerprinting has normally been done on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 12:00pm – 4:00am. Due to a large volume of requests, fingerprinting for non-criminal requirements is currently by appointment only. Please call 904.966.6380 to make an appointment.

The fee for fingerprinting is $5.00 and must be paid by cash or money order.

You must present a valid photo ID.

Do NOT fill out your card.

Concealed Weapons Fingerprinting

Concealed weapons fingerprinting is available only on: Tuesday and Wednesday from 1:30 pm-4:30 pm; and on Thursday from 9:30 am -11:30 am. Due to the volume of requests, fingerprinting for Concealed Weapons permits will be by appointment only, so please call ahead 904.966.2276 during regular business hours, 8:00 am-5:00 pm). This service is restricted to residents of Bradford County only.

You do not need to bring your package with you when you come but, if you do bring it, the technician will notarize your application at no additional charge. It must be notarized before submitting it to the state.

You will need to bring:

A valid photo ID.

$5.00 Cash or Money Order.

Credit Card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover) this is for the $31.50 fee that goes directly to FDLE for fingerprint processing and can only be paid by credit/debit card.

Application, if you would like us to notarize it for you.

Fingerprints for concealed weapons are submitted electronically which speeds up the process by approximately 4 to 6 weeks. Once we have submitted your fingerprints electronically, you will need to send your packet into the Department of Agriculture and include the following items:

Your notarized application.

A copy of your concealed weapons class certificate or DD214 or any other qualifying document outlined by the instructions booklet of your packet.

A receipt from the Civil Workflow System showing submission and payment of your electronic fingerprint record (this will be given to you by the fingerprint technician).

A check or money order in the amount of $70.00.

One passport photo.

Once you have gathered these items and submitted your package, it will take approximately 2 months to get your concealed weapons permit back in the mail.
