| As Executive
Officer of the Court, it is the Sheriff's duty
to carryout all the lawful orders of the Court
as well as other duties as required by law. Among
those duties, the Sheriff is required to attend
either in person or by deputy all terms of the
Circuit Court and County Court, and serve and
execute "process" of the Supreme Court,
the Circuit Court, the County Court, and the Board
of County Commissioners. It is the Court Services
Division that carries out these legally mandated
services. Court Security Deputies are responsible
for the physical protection of judges, court personnel,
attorneys, witnesses, juries and citizens who
have business within the Bradford County Courthouse.
Deputies are assigned to work with a specific
judge and are responsible for opening court and
managing the courtroom.

Please remember that when you come to the courthouse
for any reason there are no weapons permitted
inside the courthouse, nor are they permitted
in any County building. Such weapons include,
but are not limited to; guns, knives, scissors,
box cutters, razor blades, or any other type of
sharp object that could be considered a weapon. |

| The Sheriff’s
Office has a statutory requirement to process
and execute civil papers. These papers include:
- summons, complaints and subpoenas
- writs of Possession
- writs of Garnishment
- Writs of Replevin
- injunctions for protection
These documents originate from the courts, governmental
agencies, private attorneys and individuals.
Fees for service are fixed by Florida Statue
30.231 and are non-refundable.
Fees
Non-enforceable Process:
Summons and Subpoenas are $20.00. Notice of tax
deeds and all other types of process that requires
service only, $20.00.
Enforceable Civil Process:
Writ of Possession, Writ of Replevin, Writ of
Attachment and any other types of process requiring
service, $70.00. This is $20.00 for the service
plus $50.00 for execution.

| Pursuant to
Florida statues, the Sheriff’s office carries
out the responsibility of processing and service
of warrants. These warrants originate from the
courts and governmental agencies. Our warrants
division handles:
- Summons
- Bench Warrants/Failure to Appear (FTA)
- Orders of Arrest
- Orders to take into custody
- Violations of Probabtion (VOP)
- Violations of Community Control (VOCC)
- Capias
- Order of Contempt
- Orders to revoke bonds
- Rule to Show Cause
- Pickup Commitment
